Hi! Welcome to Fixii ("we" or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes the data generated when you access or use our website, iOS or Android applications (collectively, the "Platform"), as well as the way we process, use, and store that information.
Our Privacy Policy applies to all persons who access or use the Platform (also referred to as "Users"). Please note that accessing or using the Platform without accepting this Policy is not permitted.
1. The Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Personal Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account on Fixii through the Fixii application (or "App"), you provide us with certain personal data. This includes your name, phone number, email, and profile photo.
Additionally, you also provide us with information about the content you submit through the Platform, such as repair details and photos, location and address data (more information on Location below), your repair preferences, as well as metadata related to that content or your activity on the Platform.
Location Data
We understand that one of the most sensitive pieces of data about you is your real-time location. That's why we want to make clear that we will never share your whereabouts (not even with Technicians you have approved) unless you explicitly choose to do so, and we do not and will not collect your location when you are not using the App or when it is running in the background. No one should know where you are unless you tell them yourself.
However, Fixii is a location-based platform that needs location data to facilitate repairs. Therefore, with your permission, and through your use of the Platform, we may collect information about your approximate or precise location through GPS, IP address, or WiFi. That said, we keep location data collection to an absolute minimum, as most of it is unnecessary and only consumes resources.
You may choose to use the Fixii App without granting us permission to use your location data; however, this may affect the functionality or usability of the App and, therefore, your overall experience with us.
Analytics Information
We use third-party analytics tools to measure traffic, usage, errors, and other aspects of the Platform. These tools collect useful information that helps us provide you with a constantly improving experience. We collect this type of information from all Platform users, and it cannot reasonably be used to identify you or any other person.
Device Information
The Fixii App was designed for mobile devices. When you use the Platform, we may access, collect, or store on your device one or more unique device identifiers, which can be used to distinguish your phone from all other devices accessing the Platform.
Repair Information
In order for you to request a repair, we need access to its details, including photos, budget information, and other data related to repair management within the Fixii platform.
Information We Obtain Through Third Parties
Occasionally, we may collect information about you through a third party. This may include your email or phone number when you authenticate through services such as Apple, Facebook, or WhatsApp.
2. How We Use Your Information
Although we have already mentioned some uses, we may use the information collected through the Platform in the following ways:
- Provide the Platform along with a seamless user experience
- Monitor the stability and functionality of the Platform to make improvements
- Protect and secure the Platform, as well as the content found on it
- Observe metrics such as user numbers and demographic patterns
- Enforce our Terms of Use or other usage policies
- Develop and test new products, features, or third-party integrations
- Identify and fix problems on the Platform
3. How We Share Your Information
With respect to the information described above, we share it in the following ways:
With Other Fixii Users
Just like on many platforms you have probably used before, other Users (specifically Technicians) can view and interact with your profile if you approve them to perform your repair. This means other Users can see things like your name and profile photo. To reiterate: we will never share your location with other users unless you do so explicitly. A Technician will only be able to see your location if you manually approve them to begin the repair work.
Legal Requirements
We will share information with law enforcement agencies and/or government bodies if we are legally required to do so as part of a court order or subpoena, to comply with legal obligations or proceedings related to claims in which we are involved, or to enforce our Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy.
Unless required by law, all information shared with third parties (excluding Service Providers, defined below) will be anonymized in a way that cannot be used to identify you. This means excluding key data such as your username, phone number, profile photo, and other elements described in the first section of this Privacy Policy.
Merger, Acquisition, or Dissolution
If we sell or transfer part or all of Fixii Inc. and/or our assets to another entity due to a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, liquidation, or dissolution, your information may be sold or transferred to that entity.
Service Providers
We may transfer information to certain service providers ("Service Providers") who help us make the Platform available to you. For example, this may include the company that hosts Fixii's API or database.
Except as described above (with other Users, Service Providers, or for legal requirements), we do not currently share the information collected through the Platform with any other third party, including advertising agencies or other organizations, although we reserve the right to do so in the future.
4. Information Storage and Protection
We understand that the storage and protection of your valuable information is fundamental to our relationship with you and your trust in us as a provider of quality products and user experiences. Within our organization, only key personnel whose access to that information is necessary to fulfill their duties can access it, and only under strict confidentiality.
We apply industry-standard security mechanisms and safeguards to all data and its transfer, in order to maximize the protection of all information collected through the Platform. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that no information will be accessed, modified, replicated, or disclosed.
Information collected through the Platform may be stored in the United States, Brazil, or any other location where Fixii or our Service Providers operate and maintain their facilities. We may transfer information collected about you through the Platform to other jurisdictions or countries around the world. By accepting our Terms of Use, you consent to such transfer.
5. Data Retention
By accepting our Terms of Use, you enter into a contract with us. We retain your data for as long as necessary during the term of that contract. If you decide to stop using any or all of Fixii's products, you may request that we delete your data. When your account is deleted by you or by us, we will delete all of your information along with it.
6. Third-Party Services
We believe the best way to bring Fixii to the world is by integrating it with the tools and products you already use in your daily life. Therefore, you may use features that are actually integrations with third-party services. We are not responsible for the way those third parties collect, store, or manage your information, and you accept this. We always recommend that you review the privacy policies of all services you use before using them.
7. Minors
As stated in our Terms of Use, persons under 14 years of age (or "children") are not permitted to access or use the Platform. We do not knowingly solicit or store data from minors, we do not allow them to create a Fixii account, and we do not direct marketing efforts toward them. If you have reason to believe that we have collected information from someone under 14 years of age, please contact us immediately at hola@fixii.app.
8. Changes
We are constantly working on adding new features, updating, optimizing, and improving the Platform. This means that from time to time we will need to update or make changes to this Privacy Policy, and we reserve the right to do so. Unless the law requires otherwise, we will make sure to notify you before publishing an updated version of our Privacy Policy so you can review it before it takes effect. By continuing to use the Platform after any changes to the Terms take effect, you accept our updated Privacy Policy.
